I am writing this from the home of some friends of a friend outside Arusha> Lucy and George must be the most lovely couple in all of Eastern Africa - we have been told to make ourselves at home pool-side and sat down to a huge lunch with...chocolate and raspberry gateau, heaven.
So I am making the most of their fast internet connection now that the electricity has come back on to post some of the numerous videos I have.

- Before going to the University of St Andrews to study Philosophy, I wanted to do something useful...so in January I will be a volunteer teacher in Tanzania for three months! I love music in all sorts of forms, and spend most of my time playing the piano, flute and singing. There is nothing nicer in the world than the smell of an old book, and snuggling up to read a good story. If the creative juices are flowing I do a bit of writing (mainly poetry) and painting. Although I love a deep philosophical discussion, I can frequently be found in the pubs of Pickering in a silly costume doing silly things!
